Haiku For You
I got so excited when I saw your W! Weeping Willow is a tree I've had a lifelong love for. Beautiful haiku for a beautiful tree. Well done. :)
They are almost human in their expression to me. I'm glad you enjoyed it with me Tracy :-)
Oh, thank you Sandra!
My folks used to have a weeping willow and this captures its mystique perfectly!!Kathyhttp://gigglingtruckerswife.blogspot.com
I have never had one in my yard, but I do drive around for places to sit under them to write. I love the trees.
Love the weeping willows, so dainty
Yes, they are Paula. Almost like a painting, slightly surreal.
Willows are so beautiful, and so versatile. Loved climbing them and hiding in them.
Oh, I never climbed one, I usually took pictures, or landed myself in a spot beneath one to write :-)
My grandparents had a huge one in their front yard. I loved it and they hated it. It was very messy. lol Lovely tribute. ♥
I hadn't thought about that aspect Jo. I can imagine with the tiny leaves, they would make quite a mess in the fall!
The leaves, yes, but mostly weeping willows weep. Sappy drippings all summer long and very heavily in the fall.
That explains the name better than the branches that appear to be weeping. Yes, I can see that becoming a mess!
Another great poem. Fabulous!Catch My Wordshttp://joycelansky.blogspot.com/
Thank you so much Joyce!
I love the analogy of the old man and the tree... a vivid image!
smiles Thank you.
