Oh with a quick twist of a word or two they sure could be :-) Our lilacs are just in the budding stage, it will probably be another month before they let me see them.
They do remind me of faces. My grandma used to take the hollyhocks and make little ladies out of them with big full skirts. (I know it's a different topic, but it reminded me of them.)
Beautiful! Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Jessica.

ReplyDeleteThank you :-)
DeleteI immediately thought of viola's when I read this. One of my favorite little filler flowers. So delicate looking and so lady-like! ♥

Thank you so much Kathy, both for enjoying them, and for taking time to read.
DeleteSpring is really sprung when the violas and pansies are out to play.
ReplyDeleteSo I thought, but the weather today has me reconsidering shadows :-)
DeleteVery well written.
ReplyDeletePurple petals fade slowly,
while giving pleasure.
Thank you :-)
DeleteSweet Spring Haiku! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh they have finally started blooming... it's like life! :-)
DeleteThis one conjured a picture of a solo musician playing the viola and purple petals begin to drift from the tree above...
ReplyDeleteBecause of your musical proclivity, I can see that clearly too!
DeleteI thought of the fairies when I read this. Delightful.
ReplyDeleteFaeries are wonderful things in my world. Thank you for enjoying it.
