Breezes lightly blow
make dancers of red poppies --
Tiny heads bobbing.

  1. Lovely. I've always wanted to find a field of flowers and dance through it. Someday I will :)

    1. When I was just a child, I thought about that often. As an adult, I did it, it was a freeing as the dreams I had of doing it. :-)

    1. They are one of my favorites. We have Oriental poppies in the backyard in both orange and pink, the flowers are about the size of a dinner plate. Then there are Shirley poppies out front, mixed with the California red and orange (they are a little bigger). I collect seeds each year and plant them all over again the next. I love em!

  3. This reminds me of the fields of poppies in what used to be the battlefields of the 1st World War.

    1. I have found there are many people who enjoy it; I was not sure that would be the case when I set it up. A-Z has been a pleasantly surprising challenge.

    1. Our Oriental poppies are about 18" tall so far, it's exciting to watch them bloom. Two of them will bloom about the end of May, and then again in fall. I love it!
